For the Gordon Parks Foundation, the challenge was to represent the organization while showcasing Parks’s extensive body of work.
We extended the Foundation’s bold typography and signature red underline into a flexible visual system. The design has continued to support new and expanding content over time.

As the Foundation’s content expanded, the site needed to accommodate increasingly varied editorial material within the existing system. I extended Collage where its native controls fell short, including using JS to reorder sections for layouts the CMS could not produce on its own. Scroll-based interactions also carried the Foundation’s signature red underline into select pull quotes, extending the identity through motion without making it a constant effect.
